DENVER METAL HEROES SILENCER RELEASE DIVISIONS THROUGH F-BOMB RECORDS

03/30/2008 - Colorado's underground metal kings, Silencer, have finally
released their long awaited sophomore full length effort, 'Divisions',
through upstart label F-Bomb Records.

A blistering slab of "thinking man's metal," Divisions carries on the
band's tradition of being more than just a run of the mill metal band.
"Metal has loads and loads of cliches, especially lyrically. It's exciting
and challenging for us to write music that's not only interesting to play
but to sing about as well. Given our different individual influences,
backgrounds and interests this becomes immediately apparent listening to
our music" says guitarist Keith Spargo.

Metal Hammer's Malcolm Dome says, "... this second album hums with force
and power, driven by the guitar mania of Dan Lynn and Keith Spargo, and
topped off by the ripping, rippling vocals of chad Armstrong.  However,
there's an intelligent beat beneath all the mayhem ..."

Divisions is a much more diverse affair than previous works. The lead off
track "Anticreation" is a rough personification of a very angry nature
figure who decimates mankind with extreme prejudice after seeing abuse of
the planet. Longer than typical for a lead off track with many mood
changes, this song is a perfect example of Silencer's approach to more
epic, modern thrash. "Main Sequence" follows quickly with a blistering
delivery, describing a distant traveler's curiosity to switching on a
gigantic machine on a seemingly deserted world which in effect incinerates
everything, giving birth to a star. "Effigy in Suspension" documents the
dangerous, mindless behavior of a group of ancient peoples who blindly
attribute natural events to a deity, giving birth to a new religion and
shunning all logic. As could be expected  this track captures the furor of
such events with aggressive riffing and rhythm patterns. The band also
documents historical events, such as in "RBMK"...the tale of the Chernobyl
nuclear power plant disaster. A haunting, grinding pulse tells this tale
musically replete with furious soloing and matching melancholy intro and
outro passages.

The band's history dates back to 1998 when Keith Spargo put together the
first version of Silencer.  The band, with Spargo handling both guitar and
vocal duties, toured through the southwestern United States supporting the
release of the band's first EP, 'Kozmos' in 2000.  Over the years the band
went through a number of lineup changes, as well as three more DIY
releases and a Euro-only label released compilation...each one building
more momentum for the band than the previous.  In 2005 the band released
their first full length effort, 'Death Of Awe' in Europe to critical
acclaim.

Silencer is looking to tour 'Divisions' both Stateside and throughout
Europe over the course of this year.

SHOOTING BLANKS TO PLAY WORLD REKNOWNED "POP OVERTHROW FESTIVAL"
01/20/2009 - Chicago's snotty pop punk troublemakers, Shooting Blanks, are
set to play the prestigious Pop Overthrow Festival in their hometown at
The Spot in downtown Chicago on Saturday April 18 at 5:00pm.  Their first
show since their last one, the band will perform a 20 minute long set,
which frontman Hoffman says, "is kinda perfect.  I think we might have 20
minutes of interest in playing. You never know, though, we might just walk
off after seeing each other."  Umm, get there early.



SILENCER'S 'DIVISIONS' RELEASED DATE PUSHED BACK
10/05/2008 - Colorado thrash band Silencer have had their F-Bomb debut
pushed back to March 17th due to a manufacturing glitch.  We apologize for
the delay  but unfortunately the plant seems to be  having trouble running
the CD portion of our order and although we wish we could fix it for 'em,
we can't.

SILENCER JOINS F-BOMB TEAM
10/23/2008 - Denver metal masters Silencer has signed with F-Bomb for the worldwide release of their upcoming 'Divisions' opus. Their second full length effort and fifth release overall, 'Divisions' sees the quintet continue with their brand of brutal melodic metal influenced by the likes of Shadows Fall and Nevermore. 'Divisions' is slated for a January 13, 2009 release in both physical and digital formats.

4/17/07 - Los Angeles based pop punkers Nero Zero have the distinct honour of being the very first band signed to F-Bomb Records. With an infectious pop sound fueled by an aggressive underbite the quartet look to be a band to contend with in 2007 / 2008. The band is currently in the studio recording and you can look for their debut, 'Who The @#$% Are You?!?!' to be delivered in late Summer.

1/18/07 - A new record label has reared its ugly head, dropping a barrage of expletives along the way.

The Phoenix metropolitan area has spawned F-Bomb Records, a label that's just a little unsavory putting out records from bands you parents would rather lock you away from than let you hand with. With the label's first two signings on the way, F-Bomb's staff decided to put out a compilation album in order to introduce themselves to the unsuspecting general public.

Available now is the first in a series of comp cd's called 'If It Ain't Broke ... Hit It Harder!' featuring some of the coolest DIY bands in Arizona and California such as the legendary Glass Heroes, Kamikaze Radio, melodic punkers Liquid Image, Slighter, Idiotkin and more.
